ARTZ @ The Museum

Join us for a special program welcoming a group of participants with dementia and their care partners to view and discuss art at the Brandywine Museum of Art in a supportive setting. Brandywine educators and ARTZ staff will facilitate encouraging and inclusive group conversations about two to four works of art per session. Through sharing ideas or simply listening to others, participants will have a meaningful, invigorating, and joyful encounter.

Kuerner Farm Plein Air Day

Celebrate Earth Day at Brandywine with a special Read-Aloud Program for young children and their families. Native Companion Plantings for Backyard Aquatic Gardens

There are a multitude of fantastic native plants that can substitute the standard non-native vegetation often chosen for backyard aquatic gardens. This presentation will focus on the diversity of native plant options for maintained aquatic areas, along with the ecological structure and function of these gardens and ways to design and manage for a healthy aquatic vegetation community. We will discuss methods to phase out non-native plantings and highlight the beautiful native replacements that can support the surrounding ecology while also providing aesthetic and seasonal interest to aquatic gardens.
