National Fish and Wildlife Foundation grants more than $400,000 to the Brandywine Conservancy for water quality improvement projects and removal of breached dam

Chadds Ford, PA, September 28, 2021— The Brandywine Conservancy is thrilled to announce it has received more than $400,000 in grants from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF). As part of NFWF’s Delaware River Restoration Fund (DRRF), made possible by the William Penn Foundation, the Brandywine received $289,845 for projects to improve water quality in the Brandywine-Christina Watershed. An additional $151,723 was also granted through NFWF and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Delaware Watershed Conservation Fund (DWCF) for the removal of Hoffman’s Mill Dam in Chadds Ford, PA.

Brandywine Conservancy and Oxford Area Foundation acquire 577-acre property along Octoraro Creek for use as public nature preserve

Chadds Ford, PA, January 11, 2021—The Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art, in partnership with the Oxford Area Foundation (OAF), has acquired 577 acres of the Glenroy Farm situated along the Octoraro Creek in Chester County, PA. This land will be owned and managed by the Oxford Area Foundation for use as a publicly accessible nature preserve.
