WHAT: A Brandywine Christmas
From the spectacular O-gauge model train exhibition with trains running on nearly 2,000 feet of track, to a gallery devoted to a delightful display of rare antique dolls dressed in exquisite period clothing, plus thousands of whimsical Critters (ornaments and decorations handcrafted by Brandywine volunteers from natural materials) displayed on towering trees soaring up through the museum's three-story atrium, A Brandywine Christmas promises wonderful family fun. Several events are planned throughout the season.
WHEN:
Friday, November 25 through Sunday, January 8
Open daily (except Thanksgiving and Christmas), 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Extended hours until 9 p.m. on Thursdays in December.
WHAT: Critter Sale
The annual Critter Sale expands to four days (from two). These handcrafted, environmentally friendly ornaments and tabletop decorations make distinctive gifts, and benefit the Museum Volunteers' Art Purchase Fund, and Art Education and Programming. Choose from nearly 10,000 Critters and dozens of themes, including sports, animals, angels, and stars.
