Virtual Talk with Victoria Wyeth Part 2: Andrew Wyeth 1945 to 1965
Join Victoria Wyeth as she shares her uniquely personal perspectives on the art of her grandfather, artist Andrew Wyeth (1917-2009).
In April, Victoria will explore Andrew Wyeth’s career during an eventful two-decade period in which he painted some of his best-known works, including Christina’s World, Wind from the Sea, Brown Swiss and the self-portrait Trodden Weed and experienced the trauma of his father’s sudden death. As the artist developed his mature tempera technique, he continued exploring his immediate surroundings through an often-daily watercolor practice. Join Victoria as she shares both familiar and never-before-seen images from this fascinating period of Wyeth’s artistic development.
The program will be held on Zoom and participants are invited to ask questions as part of the program. The live presentation is the same on both evenings. Proceeds support the Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art.
