Plein Air Day at The Wharton Esherick Museum
Get special access to the Wharton Esherick Museum, a National Historic Landmark for Architecture, where famed American artist Wharton Esherick began making his home and studio in 1926. The campus includes Esherick’s hand-built Studio, Garage, and Workshop, which were constructed over a 40-year period and incorporate Arts and Crafts, Expressionist, and organic designs. The program will begin with a tour led by one of the Wharton Esherick Museum’s knowledgeable interpreters, who will be available throughout the event to answer questions and provide insight to Esherick’s creative process.
Membership prices extend to both the Wharton Esherick Museum and Brandywine Museum of Art members. Participants will meet at the Wharton Esherick Museum in Malvern, PA; directions and site policies will be provided upon registration. A restroom is available at the site.
