The Museum will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with free admission* to the galleries including the featured exhibition, Andrew Wyeth: Home Places.
In addition to free admission, join in creative art activities* led by teaching artists from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and discover the amazing story of “Penny the Piano” in a lively performance by The Awakening Arts featuring the talents of area students at 11 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.
First performed at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Penny the Piano has inspired thousands of children to find their true voices. This performance is the official launch of the non-profit Foster the Arts in Pennsylvania, an organization which supports foster children’s participation in the arts. Join with author and music educator Suzanne Jackson and the cast of Penny in a celebration of music and discover your own “One of a Kind” life!
*Pre-registration is requested for art activities; arrive anytime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to participate. Note that performance times are 11 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. No registration is required for admission to Museum galleries.
