DIY Fairy House

Celebrate International Fairy Day on June 24 by creating your very own fairy house using materials you can gather from your own backyard and neighborhood.
Since we spent the spring tidying up our gardens, it’s now time to attract and welcome the fairies to our yards. Although the Brandywine's annual Fairy House workshop will not take place in-person this year, you can still build your own amazing, magical abode that the garden fairies would be happy to call home for the summer!
Gather Your Supplies:
- Sticks of varying types
- Tree bark
- Small stones or rocks
- Moss
- Pinecones and pine needles
- Feathers
- Freshly picked flowers, leaves & ferns
- No glue is required, unless you would like a more secure structure
Step 1:
Find the perfect spot! Look for a niche in the base of a tree or rock wall just off the busy path. Fairies like the quiet.
