To celebrate Spring Equinox, Penguin Court's Book Club selection for March is "Hollows, Peepers, and Highlanders: An Appalachian Mountain Ecology" by George Constantz.

With three sections including "Stage and Theater," which describes the Appalachians, "The Players" that delves into the wildlife found here, and "Seasonal Act" that describes how the seasons affect the "Players," Mr. Constantz shares the beauty of nature found in the Appalachian Mountains.  You will learn a lot about the organisms with which many of us share space!

This program will be held in-person at Brandywine's Penguin Court Preserve, located at 104 California Avenue in Laughlintown, PA.  In the event of inclement weather, a Zoom link will be shared with registrants the morning of the program. If we meet in-person, Pennsylvania Master Naturalist, Sean Gibson, will explain and show us "cover boards" that are used to document amphibians and reptiles, so be prepared to be outside, in a lawn, for up to half an hour.
